Anthill cake: preparing it correctly

Anthill cake is one of the most interesting cakes that we remember from childhood. It is interesting both in preparation and in the way it looks, and in taste it is completely unique, because there is not a single dessert similar to Anthill. Each housewife has her own recipe and method of preparing this cake, but there are still several mandatory points that everyone takes into account when preparing. If you figure it out well, preparing a cake is quite simple, despite the fact that there are a lot of steps. Today we will tell you how to properly prepare Anthill cake so that it is perfect in both taste and appearance. To prepare this dish we will need: shortbread cookies (you can make it yourself) or store-bought crackers, butter, boiled condensed milk, poppy seeds, nuts, chocolate.

Let's start with shortbread cookies. This ingredient serves as the basis for our cake. Of course, if you don’t have a lot of time, you can buy two packs of sweet crackers and use them in cooking, it’s very convenient and the taste won’t be much different. But, if you want to make the cake yourself inside and out, then bake shortbread cookies. There is nothing difficult here: you knead the shortbread dough (margarine or butter, eggs, baking powder, flour, sugar), divide it into several balls and put it in the freezer until completely frozen. Grease a baking sheet with butter, take one ball of dough out of the freezer and rub it on a coarse grater evenly over the entire baking sheet. Let the liver cool and crumble it into crumbs, but not too small.

When the cookies are ready, you can put a saucepan with water on the gas to cook the poppy seeds (one glass is enough for the cake). When the poppy seed is cooked, pass it through a meat grinder. Any nuts are suitable for the Anthill, it all depends on your taste, but usually walnuts are used here. They can also be put through a meat grinder, but then they will turn out to be a paste; it is better to chop the nuts with a knife, it tastes better. To mix all the ingredients, take a deep bowl and mix the butter and condensed milk there, you should get a homogeneous mixture. Then add poppy seeds there and mix well, after which you can smell the addition of cookie crumbs and nuts. A little advice: mix as long as possible, the mass should be homogeneous. Cover a baking sheet with parchment paper and spread the mixture tightly.
