Chicken fillet baked in the oven: important tips

Baked chicken fillet is an excellent dish option for any side dish, both for the holiday table and for everyday life. The dish itself is very simple, and one might say banal, but there are always ways to make it more original, so that everyone who tries it will be pleasantly surprised and will ask you for the recipe for which you prepare such a delicious dish. In today’s article we will share advice on how to prepare an original dish that is very tasty and interesting. To prepare you will need: chicken fillet (medium size), hard cheese, soy sauce, vegetable oil, spices.

As always, we start by choosing the main ingredient for the dish. in our case it is fillet. Fresh chicken will always be slightly pinkish in color. Inspect the edges of the fillet; if they are dry and slightly yellowish, the fillet has been on the counter for a while.  Take the fillet in your hand and press a little, if a lot of liquid flows out of it, it means it has already been frozen several times, in which case the dish you prepare with this fillet will be dry.

It is very important to marinate the fillet correctly, because the taste of our dish depends on it. Today we recommend marinating the fillet with soy sauce, mustard and spices. Before you begin marinating, rinse the fillets under cold running water and pat dry with paper towels. Pour soy sauce and vegetable oil into a deep saucepan. Vegetable oil will help the chicken marinate well and become more tender.  Mustard also softens the meat and adds a pleasant spiciness to the meat. In terms of spices: curry, red paprika, black pepper, coriander are best suited for chicken; you can also add a little basil, it will give an interesting aroma to the chicken. Mix all the ingredients for the marinade in a saucepan and let it sit for a while.During this time, take the chicken fillet and make cuts along it, not all the way through, but so that it stays together and then add it to the marinade and massage thoroughly.  Take two cloves of garlic and cut it into thin slices and place along the cuts. It is worth marinating the fillet for at least two hours. .

After the fillet has been marinated, take hard cheese (mozzarella is best) and grate it. Place each fillet on a separate sheet of foil and place grated cheese in each cut and wrap the foil well. Bake chicken fillet for about 30-40 minutes. The main thing is not to dry out the dish, so monitor the temperature in the oven.
