How to make nutritious bean pate

Every housewife’s menu should include a snack option such as pate. Pate is a paste of uniform consistency that can be spread on bread or eaten as an independent dish. Pate is made from different types of meat or liver. But pate is made not only from meat products, but also from vegetables, for example: beans, peas, lentils, carrots, cabbage. Today we will share with you tips on how to prepare a delicious bean paste. This pate is nutritious because it contains a large amount of vegetable protein, healthy and tasty.

To prepare such an original snack we will need the following products: beans, carrots, onions, vegetable oil, mayonnaise. First we need to select the appropriate products. First of all, we will start with the main ingredient - beans. Large white beans work best. Because its core is fleshy and contains a large amount of protein. We must select only whole and undamaged seeds. Very often, small flies appear in beans, which eat the beans from the inside and we throw away such damaged seeds. Beans take a very long time to cook and, in order to speed up the cooking process, we soak the beans in cold water for about 6-7 hours. Then drain the water, wash it, fill it with clean water and cook until tender. Drain the water from the finished boiled beans and wait until it cools down.

In the meantime, let's prepare the other ingredients. We peel the onion, you can give a lot of it, it will not spoil the taste of the dish, but will further enhance the taste of the beans, it will give the dish a sweet aftertaste. Cut the onion into small cubes. Place a frying pan on the stove and pour a small amount of vegetable oil; when the oil is hot, add the chopped onion and saute it until golden brown. While the onions are fried, we peel and grate the carrots on a coarse grater, pour them onto the prepared onions, mix and cover with a lid. Simmer everything together until done. Pour all the contents until you are full in order to get rid of excess fat. Let the vegetables cool. Now we return to the cooled beans. Place it in a blender bowl and grind it into a paste, now add the cooled onions and carrots and blend until a creamy mixture is formed. Salt and pepper to taste. Add mayonnaise and mix.

To improve the taste, we can add parsley or dill (but do not interrupt, but finely chop and mix with a spatula so as not to change the color of the pate). The appetizer is ready. Bon appetit.
