Take one or two potatoes, peel and grate thin rings (turns out quite a lot).
Soak the potatoes in salt water for 15-20 minutes, until the potatoes become more pliable. Separately in clean water soak toothpicks (number of roses), so they don't burn when frying.
Collect the roses: you can collapse the roll, and you can alternately put the petal on the petal, starting with the smallest (as it turns out neater, but longer).
Fasten with a toothpick, a bit dry and fry in deep fat until Golden brown. You can bake in the oven, roses softer. Remove toothpicks and place on a platter, adding a ring of cucumber or lettuce.
