Description
The Swedes are big fans of mixing salty with sweet. Sweet herring, sweet pickles ... This recipe is no exception. Meat patties served with cranberry sauce. The herring and cucumbers I was never able to get used to in all the years living in Sweden, but Swedish meat balls with cranberry sauce - mmmm, yum. The recipe I got from mother in law, which prepares these burgers made from moose meat.

Cooking
Crush juniper berries in a mortar.
Ground beef, salt, pepper, juniper berries, onion and cream mix well.
Make patties and put on hot griddle.
Fry patties 4 minutes on each side.
Put the cutlets on a separate plate and start doing the sauce. (Fat from the frying pan can be drained, so it was not so bold. Who loves fatter, the fat drain off.) Cream, soy sauce, half a cube of beef broth and cranberry jam spread in the pan.
Stirring, bring to a boil.
Put the meatballs in the pan with the sauce and leave to languish on low heat (a few minutes).
Sprinkle with herbs, and meatballs ready!
The Swedes are very fond of potatoes, so potatoes, boiled whole, suits the dish best. (Photo of potatoes, and couscous. With a 2 month old baby time to cook, so I made couscous to burgers, to make it faster.)
