Meatballs in sauce with a mixture of Basmati
A simple and tasty dish. Perfectly combined with a mixture of Quinoa and basmati rice Mix. The composition of the meatballs, you can add your favorite spices and herbs.

Ingredients

  • Minced meat

First make the mixture. Pour the mixture into a pan with water in the ratio 1:2. Bring to a boil, add salt and reduce heat. Tightly cover pot and simmer 15 minutes, until the mixture absorbs the water. Ready mix, divide into 2 parts. One part will leave for meatballs and a second part for garnish.

Prepare the sauce. Reheat in a large skillet olive oil and fry until soft chopped onion,

sprinkle a teaspoon of cumin and stir.

Add thyme, finely chopped chili (skinless) canned tomatoes with juice, Bay leaf, a little sugar and a pinch of salt, all mix and simmer on a slow fire ten minutes. Pour in the stock, bring contents of the pan to the boil and simmer over low heat for half an hour, stirring from time to time.

Now you can do the stuffing for meatballs. The remaining one onion and garlic grind in a blender and mix with minced meat (beef + pork) in a large bowl.

Add the mustard, breadcrumbs, chopped parsley and mint, Worcestershire sauce, chopped capers, tomato paste, cumin and lightly beaten egg. Mix well

and only then add 1/2 of the mixture with milk, stir them, and then send the meat for 20 minutes in the refrigerator.

From chilled meat blind balls with a diameter of about 4 cm, roll in breadcrumbs. Put meatballs in a mould or on a baking sheet,

pour the cooked sauce, cover tightly with a lid or foil and put in forty minutes in a preheated 180 degree oven. Then remove the lid and in 5 minutes at t 200 to put in the oven.

Ready meatballs can be served with remaining mixture or as a separate dish. Bon appetit!
